PARTIAL ECLIPSE OF THE MOON

April 20, 2013

26 APRIL 2013 – PARTIAL ECLIPSE OF THE MOON, 6AM NZ TIME

This eclipse is impossible to see from NZ. The moon only just enters the penumbra when it is 10 degrees above the horizon, and this is timed just as the sun is nearly rising on the eastern horizon so the dawn twilight will prevent a chance of seeing anything of the eclipse.  For more information on times and the geographical areas around the world that the eclipse is visible in, we recommend taking a look at the Royal Astronomical Society’s website. http://rasnz.org.nz/Eclipses/2013Eclipses.shtml
