Seven Wonders

July 27, 2013

Screening in the 7pm family show time every night Wednesday – Sunday throughout August is Seven Wonders.    Billed as a visual treat and a journey back in time, it takes you up close to the staggering ancient wonders of the world and then on a trip out into space to visit the wonders of the Universe.

Sean Bean (Game of Thrones) narrates the show, and during the first half of the show, you’ll visit the Great Pyramid of Giza, the Hanging Gardens of Babylon, the Temple of Artemis, the Mausoleum, the Colossus of Rhodes, the Statue of Zeus at Olympia and the Lighthouse of Alexandria.

After this look back in time Seven Wonders then whisks you out to marvel at some of the objects in our Universe that modern technology has enabled us to see.  You’ll get an extreme close-up at some of the planets, nebulae and stars in our neighbourhood.

Developed especially for large Planetarium around the world, the show really makes the most of the dome environment, especially in the scenes that show off the selected 7 wonders of the Universe – a truly beautiful way to see some of the most stunning Hubble images there are.
